Brandon, his wife Carly, and children Henry & Kennedy love calling Royal Oak home. Before starting a family, Brandon and Carly knew that Royal Oak would be the best place to raise their future children. As your city commissioner, Brandon works to make sure that Royal Oak remains a community that we are all proud to raise children in and call home.
A graduate of Michigan State University, Brandon has worked in facility services focusing on environmental sustainability and green technologies.
Brandon's civic engagement in Royal Oak includes service on the Library Board, where he served as vice president and help oversee the nearly 1 million dollar renovation. Brandon is envolved with the Detroit Zoo, both as a member of the Zoological Society Board of Directors and Chair of the Oakland County Zoo Tax Authority. He also helped organize his neighborhood to sucessfuly work with a developer to make changes to a proposed site plan that preserved the character of the neighborhood while improving housing stock in Royal Oak. Since 2020, Brandon has served on the City Commission.
Royal Oak is leading our region. Property values are rising, we are among the safest cities in America, people want to move here, and we have great community services to offer residents. Much of this is credit to recent leadership that set goals, developed a plan, and worked together to achieve those goals. Today we see the positive results: Normandy Oaks is nearing completion, a new city hall, updated parks, a modern police station, and improved infrastructure. The next important task of commissions will be to maintain the hard work just completed, and undertake projects that likely will be less visible and yet of great importance. As we start to recover from COVID-19, I understands the need for strong leadership to see these projects to completion and ensure the values we hold as a community stand true.
